“The ICAA is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of seven members who are elected by Chartered Accountants on regional registers and up to four Board appointed members. Directors and Regional Councillors will be elected for a three year term, with one-third of the positions on the Board and Regional Councils being up for election each year. Self Managed Super Funds Professionals Associations of Australia

SPAA’s key objectives are to provide members with professional accreditation to distinguish themselves as reputable specialist SMSF advisers, endorse them and represent their interests on a national level. This activity will help the industry to self-regulate.To reach specialist level, general members are required to apply for Specialist Membership. All members are encouraged to undertake specialist SMSF courses accredited by SPAA and to meet other association professional CPD requirements.
